What if we could turn cancerous glioma brain cells into neurons [that are fixed in position and don't create new cells].

Would that cure brain cancer?

The highly respected futurist Ray Kurzweil predicts human level intelligence in AI in just 11 years, yep eleven years (2029)! And if you're in doubt take a look at Google's recent intelligent assistant that makes a phone call to book an appointment, and its new Gmail that completes your sentences for you.

We have to get AI (AGI) correct, because one mistake could be fatal for all of us. Even if we avoid Armageddon, there are still issues about distribution of wealth and power, weapons, dwindling job opportunities, bias, and the unforeseen ugly outcomes.

Having said that AI will be fantastic: they'll be amazing achievements in science, medicine, technology and innovation. It'll be great! - if we get it right.
