Idea: Cure for (glioblastoma) brain tumours ?

What if we could turn cancerous glioma brain cells into neurons [that are fixed in position and don't create new cells].

Would that cure brain cancer?

Can someone investigate this...?

  1. " a study in 2017 showed that transdifferentiation could directly convert astrocytes—abundant non-neuronal cells in the brain—into neurons in a mouse model of Parkinson’s disease. After the treatment, the mice showed improvements in their motor functions such as balance and gait. "

  2. " If further optimized, the authors said, this approach could be easier for clinical therapies because we only need to deliver genes, rather than millions of fragile cells, into the brain. "
