Before rushing ahead, full on, into some areas of innovation we should first learn about three different impacts of innovation: the good, the bad, and the ugly!
Whilst we might all be able to imagine some of the benefits of merging with technology, just pause to think of its problems.
Do you want your body or brain to be reliant on a technology that is reliant on weekly software updates, and vulnerable to attack by malicious hackers?
What about control, do you want to give a distant organisation, corporation or government the potential to monitor and control you?
What other risks can you foresee?
Do the benefits outweigh the risks? Will the benefits always outweigh the risks? If you subscribe to these integrated technologies can you later change your mind and unsubscribe? Would you still have the free will to do so?
