Rocket fuel and rocket launches from the Moon

NASA’s ‘blue collar robot’ may help astronauts colonize Mars - space innovation

Lifting massive amounts of fuel just to leave the Earth is very inefficient. These little robots will mine soil on the Moon, or Mars, so that water can be extracted from it and it's then separated into hydrogen and oxygen (rocket fuel).
